Broker: Richard Eckert


As a licensed real estate broker in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi, Richard Eckert believes in taking real estate to a personal level.  While researching a sound investment and handling the transaction with the utmost care an efficiency are paramount - finding the homesite, condominium or home that meets each client's personal needs is equally important.

Richard was raised in nearby Ocean Springs, Miss., and vacationed on Florida's Emerald Coast with his parents and five brothers and sisters throughout his childhood. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in industrial engineering prior to receiving a master's of business administration in 1988 from from the University of Southern Mississippi. That same year he happily moved to Destin, Fla.

For more than 15 years Richard worked as an industrial engineer and program manager, spending much of his time traveling internationally, while holding civil service positions with the United States Air Force in foreign military sales.  And although he visited some of the most exciting and exotic places in the world, Richard was always glad to come back home to the Gulf Coast.  In 2004, after marrying his wife Lori, who is a writer and media-relations consultant, he decided to make a career in real estate.

As a long-time resident who has watched Florida, Alabama and Mississippi change and grow, while buying and selling his own real estate, Richard has an understanding of these exceptional markets that he uses when working with buyers and sellers.

As an agent, Richard enjoys listening to his clients, learning about their specific goals and dreams and making the right deal happen at the right time.  Richard says, "I know that buying and selling happens on paper, but attaining dreams is entirely personal."


Sales Associate: Tanner Shehan


Tanner Shehan was raised in nearby Brewton, Alabama, and vacationed on Florida's Emerald Coast throughout his childhood with his family. He graduated from University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in sports science prior to receiving a master's in sports management in 2012. 

For more than 5 years Tanner worked in sales throughout the sports and tourism industry. He held the position of director of recreation  for Alys Beach, located on Scenic 30A for more than three years before joining a tech startup that is changing the way people vacation to the beach. These diversified experiences come together to give Tanner a unique understanding of the real estate market from both a residential and investment point of view. And although he has visited some of the most exotic and diverse beaches in the world, Tanner recognizes that nothing compares to the beaches of the Emerald Coast.
